Best Advice I've Ever Got
Ooo-wee.
2025… Am I right?
There are a lot of people who are holding on to their sanity by their eye lashes right now.
Truthfully, the only thing I want to do right now is live well, free, and happy. I think most of us feel the same way and want see that happen for one another. When things get dicey - I remember what my mother taught me and said to me often when she was alive …
Don’t let anyone steal your joy. Not even me.
- Genela Hardin
Think about your joy and nourish it. Often.
Part of my joy is being warm.
Literally. I hate being cold. While I tolerated the cold from my years in the midwest (Wisconsin and Chicago) and the east coast (NY), I spent my childhood in the south (Texas). And, my blood is southern. My people are from South Carolina and Mississippi. I moved from New York to Tennessee partly to be in better weather! I already have a trip booked to a tropical destination.
Another part of my joy is connecting with people.
At the top of this year, I was ready to head to the warm west coast and deliver a workshop “Content to Cash: Unlocking Your Creator Potential With Your Personal Brand” to hundreds of folks. It was geared towards professionals who may be contemplating how building a personal brand can create financially beneficial opportunities as a subject matter expert.
There’s a lot of talk about personal brands from the business folks especially since B2B Creators are taking off on Linkedin. And, if you’re wondering if you need one, you’re asking the wrong question. Why? Because you already have a brand, but is it working for you?
I recently got this notification to update some information on my website. Ya’ll. 2010 was, like, a really long time ago, and I was only 3 years into my career working at an agency. I didn’t really know what I was doing then, but I knew I wanted to claim my space on the internet.

And, here we are thirteen years later, with a solid email list, IG, & Linkedin following. I’ve spoke all over the world, including Inbound, Social Media Week, Cannes, SXSW, Black Footwear Forum and delivered workshops for Billboard, Grammys, Female Founders Collective, AWS for Startups, and many more etc. My personal brand made space for me to grow as an entrepreneur in a very competitive space to showcase thought leadership.
Friend, now, I know you’ve already got the receipts, now it’s time to just show ‘em how you got them.
I’ve seen folks with less come from out the wood work staying consistent delivering value with their personal brand, and winning speaking gigs, brand deals, etc. So, I’ve found that if you work it, you may find it can be what you’re able to “fall back on” when you quit that job, get burned out, write that book, or just want your opinion on record.
Next Wednesday, I’m going to offer that workshop I didn’t get to do in LA last week to you all, my community.
If you’re ready to think like a creator…or are just curious… then join me , Jan 29 @ 5:30P CT/ 6:30P ET, join me for this interactive workshop:

-Tiffany
